Institute of Land Resource Management

Northeastern University set up land resource management as a new discipline in 2013, relying on Land Resource Management Institute at the School of Humanities and Law, Laboratory of Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing at College of Resources and Civil Engineering and Laboratory of City Planning at JangHo Architecture College of NEU to conduct talents cultivation and scientific research related to land resources management. .

Research& teaching platform:

Land Resource Management Institute (LRMI) has 19 faculty members, among whom there are 8 professors and 5 associate professors and 6 lecturers. It is an energetic teaching team with perfect teaching and researching ability as well as reasonable talent team and professional title structure.

The team is more reasonable, stable, and united. Presently, it has the National Science and Technology Policy Research Center for land resources in the Northeastern China attached to the Ministry of Science and Technology and is planned to build national key laboratories for land regulation and agricultural land quality monitoring in the Northeastern China attached to the Ministry of Land and Resources.

Training on talents

It adopts 3S technology, information and experiment measures, with economy, law, administration, technology and other measures to cultivate talents by various channels from different perspectives, focusing on new research results at home and abroad at any time as well as real-time communication with scholars at home and abroad in terms of recent research results, so as to ensure freshness and accuracy of scientific and teaching contents, which has a complete talents cultivation system integrating postgraduates, master, doctor and post-doctor for land resource management, among which there are 18 doctor students, 14 postgraduate students.

Scientific achievements

LRMI has a strong foundation of research and has taken charge of dozens of national projects and provincial and ministerial projects, which including Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation, China Geological Survey Project, National Science and Technology Support Project, Humanities and Social Science Project of the Ministry of Education, Social Science Fund Plan Project in 2010 in Liaoning Province, Special Project for Scientific Foundation of Batch Fourth post-doctor; published nearly 600 influential academic papers.
