Social Security Institute was established in 2007. We focus on both the discipline construction and teaching task in the area of social welfare. Our research fields include: social security system and service, old-age support and service, social assistance, philanthropy research, child welfare, etc.

At present, there are 8 faculties in the institute, including 1 professors, 2 associate professors, and 5 assistant professors. Professor Lijian is the chief director. Associate professor Li yuee is the party branch director.

We have the right to award social security professional master and doctoral degree. Courses for master students include: modern social security theory, social security system comparison, old-age security system research, welfare economics, social policy and public policy, social research methods, social work, social welfare policy,etc. Courses for PHD students include: forefront social welfare issues research, important public issues research, etc.

Our teaching & research group pay attention to both teaching and practice research. We have successfully finished more than 40 projects from the state, ministries and the local government. Also, we have published our research results (more than 80 articles) in many influential journals both in china and abroad. What’s more, we focus the cooperation with the government and many social organizations to help support the local development on related areas.
